Frequently asked questions
Does this board need an external antenna?
The WROOM-32U module uses a U.FL connector instead of an onboard PCB antenna, so attach a 2.4 GHz antenna to the U.FL connector for reliable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth performance.
Can I connect 5V sensors to its GPIO pins?
No. The ESP32 GPIO pins operate at 3.3 V logic and are not 5 V tolerant. Use a level shifter or a voltage divider for 5 V signals. The Micro USB port is used for the 5 V power input and programming.
