Frequently asked questions
Does it need a driver on Windows?
If the board is not detected, install the CH340 USB-serial driver. Then select an ESP32 board such as ESP32 Dev Module in the Arduino IDE and choose the correct COM port.
Can I connect 5 V sensors directly to its pins?
No. ESP32 GPIO pins work at 3.3 V logic and are not 5 V tolerant. Use a level shifter or a 3.3 V sensor for signal lines, and make sure 5 V modules share a common ground with the board.
