Can I use this terminal with stranded wire?
Yes, ferrule terminals are designed for stranded wire ends. Strip the insulation so the copper strands fit fully inside the barrel, then crimp with a tool suited to insulated ferrules.
What happens if the crimp is poor?
A loose crimp increases contact resistance and can overheat the connection. Check the crimp by pulling gently on the wire after crimping, and make sure the barrel is firmly compressed.
