About this product
The MINI560 is a compact step-down (buck) DC-DC converter that accepts a 5 to 20 V DC input and delivers a fixed 5 V output rated up to 5 A. It is commonly used to power microcontrollers, sensor modules and other 5 V loads from a higher-voltage source such as a 12 V battery or adapter.

Frequently asked questions
How do I wire it between a 12 V battery and a 5 V load?
Connect the battery positive to the input positive terminal and the battery negative to the input negative terminal. Connect the load positive to the 5 V output and the load negative to the output ground. Keep the grounds common with your microcontroller if they share signals.
Can it run from a 5 V input?
The input range starts at 5 V, but a buck converter cannot output a voltage higher than its input. A 5 V input leaves no headroom for a 5 V output, so use an input comfortably above 5 V, such as 7 V or more, for stable regulation.
