About this product
A mechatronics project in which one servo brings each colored piece under a TCS3200 color sensor, which measures red, green and blue. A second servo then directs the piece into the matching bin. Students learn color frequency measurement, classification by comparison and controlling several servos with a separate 5 V supply. This expansion version does not include the board or cable.

Frequently asked questions
Why do the servos need a separate 5 V adapter?
Servo motors can draw current spikes that the Arduino's 5 V pin should not supply. The kit therefore powers the motors from a separate adapter and teaches separating motor power from the controller.
Do I need to buy an Arduino board separately?
Yes. The expansion version does not include the Arduino Uno board or USB cable, so you need those plus a computer to upload the code.
