About this product
An educational bag alarm project that uses a GY-521 MPU-6050 accelerometer and gyroscope. After arming, the system waits 15 seconds for the bag to be closed, then sounds a buzzer if movement exceeds a set threshold. It teaches sensor reading, arming delay and state machines. This is a learning model, not a certified security device. The expansion version excludes the Arduino board and USB cable.

Frequently asked questions
Is this bag alarm a certified security device?
No. The kit is an educational model and is not an approved security device. It is meant for learning about accelerometers, arming delays and state machines.
How is the MPU-6050 sensor connected to the Arduino?
The MPU-6050 communicates over I2C using the SDA and SCL lines, which on an Arduino Uno are connected to pins A4 and A5, along with power and ground. The expansion kit requires an Uno or compatible board to run the code.
