Frequently asked questions
What does constant current mode do when my circuit draws more than the set current?
In CC mode the supply limits the output current to the value you set and lowers the output voltage to keep the current constant. This protects the circuit during first power-up or when testing a new design.
Can I use it to power a microcontroller board such as an Arduino or ESP32?
Yes. Set the voltage to the board's required input (for example 5 V or 3.3 V with a regulator, as the board specifies) and set a current limit slightly above the expected draw. Connect the supply ground to the board ground before powering up.
