About this product
A direct digital synthesis (DDS) module built around the AD9833 chip, able to generate sine, triangle and square waves with programmable frequency and phase. It is controlled over SPI by a microcontroller. It is used for signal generation in electronics labs, sensor excitation, and communication and audio experiments.

Frequently asked questions
How do I control the AD9833 from an Arduino?
Use SPI with the FSYNC pin as chip select. Send 16-bit control words to set the mode, then write the frequency and phase registers as described in the datasheet. Many ready-made Arduino libraries handle this sequence.
Can it run from a 3.3 V supply?
The AD9833 accepts 2.3 V to 5.5 V, so both 3.3 V and 5 V systems can power the chip. Check the module's own regulator and output level, because the output amplitude depends on the supply and any output stage on the module.
