Frequently asked questions
Will this card work with a 13.56 MHz MIFARE or NFC reader?
No. This is a 125 kHz proximity card and needs a 125 kHz reader. MIFARE and NFC cards operate at 13.56 MHz and are not compatible.
Does the card need a battery or a separate power source?
No. It is a passive card. The reader generates an electromagnetic field, and the card harvests energy from it to transmit its ID, so only the reader needs a power supply.
