Frequently asked questions

What is the price of A4988 Stepper Motor Driver Module 2A (Breakout Board) in Egypt?

A4988 Stepper Motor Driver Module 2A (Breakout Board) currently costs between 75 and 90 EGP across 5 offers in Egypt.

Where can I buy A4988 Stepper Motor Driver Module 2A (Breakout Board) in Egypt?

A4988 Stepper Motor Driver Module 2A (Breakout Board) is available from Ekostra, Most Electronics, Microohm, UGE, and Circuits Electronics. Compare the offers above to find the best price.

How do I wire the A4988 to an Arduino?

Connect STEP and DIR to two digital pins on the Arduino, and connect the four motor wires to 1A, 1B, 2A and 2B. Power the motor from VMOT and GND (8 to 35 V), and power the logic from VDD and GND (3 to 5.5 V). All GND connections must share a common ground. Never connect or disconnect the motor while the driver is powered.

How do I set the current limit on the A4988?

Turn the small potentiometer on the board while measuring the reference voltage (Vref) with a multimeter between the trimmer and GND. The target current depends on the board's sense resistor value and the motor's rated current, so check the A4988 datasheet and your motor's specification before setting it.
