About this product
This cable adapts a standard 9V (PP3) battery snap into a 5.5mm x 2.1mm female DC jack, so any device with a male barrel plug can be powered from a 9V battery. It is about 15cm long, uses 24 AWG wire, and is wired center-positive with red as positive and black as negative. It is useful when a male DC power cable needs to be reversed into a female socket.

Frequently asked questions
Is the polarity compatible with Arduino boards?
Yes. The cable is center-positive, which matches the barrel jack polarity used by most Arduino boards with a 5.5mm x 2.1mm input.
Is a 9V battery suitable for high-current loads with this cable?
A 9V PP3 battery supplies limited current and capacity, so it suits low-power projects. The 24 AWG wire is adequate for small loads but not for motors or high-power devices.
