How do I wire a 2-pin tact switch?
Connect one pin to the GND and the other to the input pin of your microcontroller, then enable a pull-up on the input. The input reads LOW while the button is pressed.
Does it need a debounce?
Yes, mechanical contacts bounce for a few milliseconds when pressed. Add a hardware RC filter or a software debounce delay of about 20 ms to avoid double readings.
