About this product
KY-008 is a 5 mW red laser transmitter module with a 650 nm laser diode and a built-in current-limiting resistor. Because of its low current draw, it can be switched directly by a microcontroller pin without a separate laser driver. It is used in beam, alignment and light-based projects with Arduino or ESP boards.

Frequently asked questions
What is the price of KY-008 5mW 650nm Red Laser Transmitter Module (5V) in Egypt?
KY-008 5mW 650nm Red Laser Transmitter Module (5V) currently costs between 30 and 50 EGP across 6 offers in Egypt.
Where can I buy KY-008 5mW 650nm Red Laser Transmitter Module (5V) in Egypt?
KY-008 5mW 650nm Red Laser Transmitter Module (5V) is available from Microohm, ElectroHub, RAM Electronics, Future Electronics, Ekostra, and UGE. Compare the offers above to find the best price.
How do I wire the KY-008 to an Arduino?
The module has three pins: S (signal), + (VCC) and - (GND). Connect S to a digital output pin, +5V to 5V and - to GND. Writing HIGH to the signal pin turns the beam on and LOW turns it off.
Is it safe to use near eyes?
No. Never look into the beam or point it at people, animals or reflective surfaces, as even a 5 mW laser can cause eye injury. Mount it so the beam stays at a safe height and always switch it off when not in use.
