How do I wire this laser module?
Connect the red lead to a regulated 5 V DC supply and the black lead to ground. Do not connect it directly to a higher voltage, and add a series resistor or driver only if the datasheet recommends it.
Is this module safe to point at people or animals?
No. Even a 5 mW laser can cause eye damage, so never aim it at people, animals, reflective surfaces or vehicles, and avoid looking directly into the beam.
