About this product
A metal-gear 12V DC geared motor with a built-in Hall effect encoder and a 1:110 reduction ratio, designed for RC car and robot projects that need speed feedback. The suitable operating range is 6V to 12V, giving about 32 to 64 rpm. Reading the encoder requires a 3V to 12V Hall supply and a 10K pull-up resistor on the signal line.

Frequently asked questions
How do I wire the encoder?
Pin 1 is Hall power (external 3V to 12V), pin 2 is the Hall signal output (use a 10K pull-up resistor), pin 3 is Hall ground, and pins 4 and 5 are the motor leads powered by an external supply.
Can it run from a 9V supply?
9V is within the listed 6V to 12V suitable range, but the motor draws up to 1A at stall, so the supply must be able to deliver that current.
