Frequently asked questions
How do I power it and connect the data line?
Connect 5 V and GND to a regulated 5 V supply sized for the expected current, and feed the data input from a microcontroller pin, usually through a series resistor or level shifter. Share GND between the controller and the strip. A full-white 60-LED meter can draw several amps at full brightness, so size the supply accordingly.
Can I cut the strip to length?
Yes, but cut only at the marked cut points and solder the power and data pads with the correct direction of the data flow.
