Frequently asked questions
How do I connect it to a stepper motor?
Use a flexible shaft coupler between the motor shaft and the screw end. NEMA 17 motors commonly have a 5 mm shaft, so check your motor's shaft size and choose a coupler that fits both diameters.
What does the 8 mm lead mean for my axis?
Lead is the linear travel for one full turn, so one revolution moves the nut 8 mm. With a 2 mm pitch, the lead is four times the pitch, so use the lead value, not the pitch, when calculating steps per mm.
