Can I use this adapter to charge a 3S or LiFePO4 pack?
No. 8.4V is the full-charge voltage for two Li-ion cells (4.2V each). A 3S Li-ion pack needs about 12.6V, and LiFePO4 cells use a lower charge voltage, so this adapter is only suitable for 2S Li-ion packs.
