About this product
A 0402 surface-mount chip resistor rated at 22kOhm, designed for automated pick-and-place assembly on PCBs. Its 0402 package measures about 1.0 × 0.5 mm, which suits compact boards and high-density digital layouts. It is often used for pull-up or pull-down biasing on GPIO, reset and enable lines.

Frequently asked questions
What is 22kOhm typically used for?
It is often used as a pull-up or pull-down on GPIO, reset or enable pins, giving a weak bias that a button or open-drain output can override. For I2C, lower values such as 4.7kOhm to 10kOhm are preferred.
Can I use 22kOhm to limit current for an LED?
Not for normal brightness. At 5V with a red LED (about 2V forward voltage) the current is only about 0.14 mA, so the LED will be very dim.
